Santa Fe developer dies in crash

New Mexico State Police say a Santa Fe real estate agent and developer died Friday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 just north of the Sandoval County line.

According to a news release the agency issued Saturday night, Dennis Raymond Branch, 66, was northbound on I-25 when he drifted into the center median.

His vehicle hit the median barrier, state police said, and Branch sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police are still investigating why the car drifted into the median, the news release said.
