Be sure you bring a camera to fully capture the breathtaking colors as they splash through the earth.
If it is around lunch you may want to forgo the typical fast food fare and head over to Monastery Lake. Here you can sit under a gorgeous sky and stare into the crystal waters. It is truly a breathtaking view and one that will leave you refreshed and feeling great to be alive! You just may even get the desire to take a quick hike through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. This is one of those perfect destinations where ou can truly get away from the world.
If you are looking for a way to take a journey into the past look no further than the Red Rock Park. Here you can hike among cliffs that are over 200 million years old. The scenery and clean air is more than enough to let the weight of the world drift away. Just make the drive to Church Rock and let your soul free.
